Sky are launching new tv packages through their Now TV service which allows customers to receive the Sky packages without having to install a satellite dish.
Sky have always been famous for offering bundles for internet, home phone and television services but now they have made a move to allow their customers to receive the services offered by Sky without having to install a satellite dish in their home.
While there are alternative options for receiving television services, the way Sky operate there are channels that are only available for those who subscribe to their service. This is of course Sky’s main selling point. The Now TV box allows for customers to turn their ordinary televisions into Smart TVs which in turn means that the customer can access catch up television as well as a collection of exclusive channels, with exclusive shows.
The Now TV bundles include home phone and broadband services offered by Sky television so that customers can get the best range of television shows and channels without necessarily having to take out the full package and install a satellite dish.
The box, a small discrete white box that sits close to your TV can be attached to the television itself through a series of different options. It comes with an HDMI cable but can be connected using an AV cable if the television selected does not have the option of an HDMI connection.
Not only does the Now TV box allow for access to all of these exclusive channels and shows but by transforming the standard television into a Smart TV it allows the viewer to catch up on all the latest shows they’ve missed through apps such as 4OD and BBC iPlayer. The nature of a Smart TV also means that apps like Facebook and Twitter can be downloaded – you television could now by your one and only port of call for all of your media needs.
